Underfed is designed for privacy first. We do not collect personally identifiable information from you. You do not need an account, an email, or any login to use the app.
The following data is stored only on your iPhone and never leaves your device:
If you turn on Eat Out Mode (a paid Underfed Plus feature), the app asks for your device location. Your location is used only on-device to query nearby restaurants matching your mood. Your location is not stored on Underfed servers and is not shared with third parties beyond the search request to Google Places. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your iOS Settings.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID account and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. Underfed does not see your payment card or billing details. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous user identifier and the subscription state required to grant or revoke entitlements.
Underfed uses anonymous, aggregated analytics (PostHog) and crash reporting (Sentry) to understand usage patterns and fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is sent to these services. No data is used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. App Tracking Transparency (ATT) is therefore not required.
Underfed is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Because we do not collect personally identifiable data, there is no personal data on our servers to access, correct, or delete. You can clear all local app data by uninstalling Underfed from your device. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Underfed after changes means you accept the updated policy.
